The house was as advertising. Very comfortable. Exceptional views of the mountains and clouds. Outside of town and very private. Loved it!

If you like to get away from people this is your place. We spent 12 nights here and spent most of our time just taking the views which are amazing. There are a few houses nearby but it is difficult to see them because of the lush environment. Would definitely stay here again.

This was an incredibly beautiful location and a great space surrounded by lush green foliage and overlooking a pond. But be aware: there are hunting dogs next door that howl loudly day and night that we did not know about until we arrived. The one dog sets off another and they going. It was hard to talk even inside the home. I thought that they would quit - but getting a reprieve was rare. There is a lovely screened in porch but the barking made it hard to enjoy the property. The owners did provide "white noise" of waves crashing on the beach and that allowed us to sleep so I was thankful for that. I should have complained at the time but I couldn't think of how to change the neighbors. But I wanted other renters to be aware ahead of time so that they could decide if howling dogs all day and night would bother them.

We loved staying here it was so fun watching a rain storm move across the valley laying in the hammock with the screened porch. We were also entertained with the hunting dogs (who are used for hunting the wild pigs), then the bullfrogs singing throughout the night, topped off with the roosters crowing at 5am. It made it a real Hawaiian experience. We never stay at the resorts because we want to experience an authentic place.

What an amazing place, for those of us who love mountain views and tropical plants! View from porch was nearly 180 degrees, and beautiful at in rain and sun, lighting changing throughout the day. The porch screen kept the bugs out, adding a glorious room to this cute place. Was clean and well-appointed and had personality, like hand made pottery to dine on, interesting books about, and real artwork. Bedroom was spacious and had a very comfortable bed. Do bring earplugs of good quality to block out the serenading dogs and roosters at night, who in daytime are part of the charm! A wonderful place to feel far away from it all, yet actually pretty convenient, 15 minutes to Hanalei. One lane bridges make it even more charming. Close to Ha'ena State Park, Limahuli National Tropical Botanical Garden.

This property was the perfect getaway for the two of us. From the breathtaking mountain view to the great location, this property had everything. It was private, full-stocked, safe, and had all the amenities we needed. Communication with the property managers was always timely and clear. We had no issues whatsoever in our 11-day stay. Even the neighbour's dogs and the wild chickens were amusing to us! 10/10 would stay here again.

What an incredible place to spend our vacation! This house was perfect for our needs. It was private and secluded, with the most amazing mountain views. The spacious lanai was where we spent our time when we were at the house. A nap in the hammock was the very first thing I did when we arrived. The communication from the property managers was excellent, with no trouble finding it or getting in. If you are sensitive to minor annoyances like the roosters (in which case, no where on Kauai would be suitable for you) or barking dogs, then this might not be the very best place, but we were not bothered by them. Honestly, I was highly amused by it all; I feel I got to know the roosters on an individual basis, and the owner of the dogs trying to get them to quiet down was also highly entertaining to me! We loved the location and feel it was the absolute perfect place for us to stay. 10/10 would stay there again.

The space is roomy, the two bathrooms were clean and having the second bathroom was very useful for my wife and I. The kitchen with well stocked with necessary supplies. The screened in porch is unlike anything I have ever seen and makes the place twice as large. The views of the Wainha Valley will blow you away. Nohonani is an amazing choice for 2-3 people with the exception of the neighbors hunting dogs barking. They will bark 24/7. The property managers do provide white noice and it is helpful. Honestly, if not for the dogs barking, this place would be twice as expensive. Its worth staying there despite the dogs.

Super amazing beautiful lush house in paradise. Highly, highly recommend. When we left important personal items behind by mistake, they went out of their way to help us and get our items returned to us on the mainland.

Our stay was amazing. The home was in the perfect location to explore the north shore, surrounded by lush rain forest, yet minutes from the beach. Great communication with the host. I look forward to staying here again.

This home is nestled in a neighborhood, but totally visually private. Sounds of birds, frogs, dogs, and roosters, are ever-present. Green all around. Screen porch and hammock provide lovely relaxation in rain and sun. House itself is very fine. Good kitchen (although stove needed repair), decent bed, and good living room/TV. Excellent water pressure. It was clean. Located a 10 minute drive to west of Hanalei. A nice stay in a beautiful location.

You will be away. You will be in the tropical rain forest, but minutes from beautiful beaches, the charming town of Hanalei, great hikes, botanical gardens and marine sanctuaries, resting turtles and monk seals.
Frogs, birds, dogs, wind, geckos, rain showers, lush vegetation...you are in the tropical rainforest in your own little perch.
This is perfectly setup for a couple, close to so many lovely beaches and adventures, but also its own remote getaway with great touches of art and comfort.

We enjoyed ourselves very much! If you looking for City Life this is not the place for you! We are Rural Nevadans and loved it! The Second Floor Apartment is great for seeing over the Canopy of the Jungle and Mountains! Buy your Food in Lihue at Walmart, Costco, or Safeway's it is a long drive back around the Island. The Jungle Noise at night is interesting. But all in all Great Place for High Desert Rats to get out of the Snow! That week it hit -20 at home, I slept comfortably with no Blankets! The Screened in Porch/Dining Room Great for Breakfast! Oh, the Ocean Down the hill a few hundred feet and around the corner, you can't see it but on a rough winter morning you can hear it!
It is Three weeks later now and my wife is still smiling! Winter doesn't seem as long! Oh, Kong, He could show at any time at the place!

The home was absolutely incredible. Bright, spacious, and perfectly located just a few minutes from the beach. I will say, it is “one with nature” in regards to spiders, lizards, (maybe even a bit of dust) etc but they will leave you alone if you leave them alone! There is no A/C here! I know the listing states it, but it can get warm for sure!! We kicked on all the fans and cracked the doors as soon as we arrived and it kept a good flow of fresh air the full 10 days we were on the property! The view from the balcony is breathtaking. I read a few reviews noting that dogs will be barking in the distance… heads up, they will be. They do not bark all day long, just for a few minutes at random times. With a tv or music playing you can hardly hear them though. :) 10/10 would come back to this property! And don’t forgot the outdoor shower. How cool

WOW!! This exclusive getaway is breathtaking. We would return in a heartbeat. The reviews are spot on, this place is paradise and 100% worth it. We quickly got use to the barking dogs and roosters. There is lots of space, the screened in porch was unlike anything we’ve seen. This authentic place feels like a dream.

The view from the fully screened in Lanai was breathtaking. The location was also excellent, with so many beautiful beaches and good restaurants close by. There were beach towels, a grill, and other nice beach gear (although we recommend bringing or renting your own snorkel gear as the items at the house didn’t function well). Overall, we highly recommend staying here!! Note that there was a significant amount of noise, including roosters and the dog barking that we had seen in other reviews, but we didn’t have issues during the night with that and we did not personally mind it at all.

We have stayed in this house before and love it. It looks out into abundant greenery. It is minutes from Hanalei and beaches. The house has a great layout and was very clean.

This was our second 2 week stay at Nohonani and it won't be our last. We were surrounded and serenaded by nature day and night. The house is very comfortable with all the amenities needed.We feel most fortunate to have discovered this unique tropical paradise. Mahalo!

I'm not exaggerating when I say this but when we walked into Jane's Airbnb, our jaws literally dropped to the floor, our eyes blinked in disbelief, and we were speechless for a good minute as we took in the unreal beauty that awaited us through the doors. This Airbnb is a magical escape into nature and provides a one-of-a-kind experience on the island. We loved everything about our stay, from using the awesome kitchen and laundry to our mornings on the lanai to our drives to and fro this spot, everything was awe-inspiring. The photos of the listing DO NOT DO THIS JUSTICE! There is a certain WOW factor that can only be appreciated when you are in the space looking out at the jungle as the sun seeps through the windows, hearing wild boars hum in the distance, feeling the breeze on your skin, smelling the rich earth, and knowing you are in the most beautiful place in the world. If you are considering this Airbnb, stop. Book it now. Promise.

Don't go anywhere else just stay here you can wake up early enough to drive everywhere on the island including the west coast. This place is way better than any resort. Best view ever we really regret not staying an extra two days and leaving for a resort we booked months ago. Should have just stayed put, thank you again for a wonderful experience.

We've been coming to Kauai for about 15 years now and this might be our favorite place to stay. You just can't get used to the views from the massive screened in porch. The property is well equipped, clean, private, and about 3 minutes from a good beach. We'll be back.

The house is spacious, high ceilings and embedded in the jungle. You only hear nature all day.
The Napali evergreen mountain es as backdrop are surreal.
Walking distance to the beach.
Very big outside terrace with mosquito net, so you can really stay out and dine with no issues.
I couldn’t believe when I walked in and still dream of the place.
