Barbara was born and raised in Long Beach, California. Her best memories of the area include riding the “Red Car Train” from her home on Pacific Ave. in Northern Long Beach to the Pacific Coast Club Beach area. College days included two years at a girls school Stevens College in Columbia Missouri and the remainder of college time at the University of Southern California graduating in arts/education.
Her parents gave her a present to visit the Hawaiian Islands in 1958 and 1961. In 1961 she decided to live in the Waikiki area and work in the Kaiser Hawaiian Village before going back to the mainland. Barbara has spent over 25 years in the field of education. Not only as an elementary school teacher but also as an elementary school Principal in both Pocatello Idaho and Paradise Valley school district in Scotsdale Arizona. Moving back to Kauai fulfilled Barbara’s dreams of returning to Hawaii.
Barbara is extremely active in many charitable organizations devoting all of her spare time in helping others. Barbara received her Hawaii State Real Estate license in 1992. Since then she has been active with both Buyers and Sellers finding the right real estate for her clients. Waking up each morning and seeing a beautiful rainbow over Hanalei Bay and watching the sunset over Hanalei Bay each night tells Barbara she’s finally home.
